Now Arizona Game and Fish have to weigh in on the impact on wind turbines on birds? How would you like that job? I’m wondering if birds aren’t smart enough to fly around the 10 story wind turbines?

PHOENIX (AP) – The Arizona Game and Fish Department has issued new guidelines aimed at helping energy developers protect the state’s wildlife.
The department says wind turbines threaten birds and bats who fly near the blades, and solar facilities could block or reroute surface water flows.
The guidelines include assessing biological resources, conducting site screenings, and identifying and mitigating impacts to wildlife.
The department says the destruction or loss of habitat is the leading cause of species extinction.
Josh Avey of Game and Fish says the department supports the development of renewable energy but wants to make sure that developers consider wildlife early in the planning phase.

Imagine a group of folk that are not interested in progress or innovation. Imagine a group of folk that are duplicitous enough to actually advocate for an alternative to the long standing system of fueling the world’s greatest economy but simply ask that the alternatives must first get past some hurdles they themselves have placed. Imagine those same folk actually being placed in charge of not only managing an economy but also managing how and when alternative forms of energy are deployed. Imagine the hurdles to continue under the old ways of doing things are made impossibly high (think taxes and regulations). Imagine the hurdles that are in place to the alternatives as well. Imagine the insiders of this group profiting from not only stopping the current system but raking in major dollars from the alternatives (Thank you Algore).
Now imagine the old saying about wanting to stop the world.
I have become more convinced with every article like this that those in charge simply want the rest of us to live in some hermetically sealed cave, monitored by our betters and allowed out only when we are so thoroughly brainwashed into their thinking.
I still want to know when the legislators, regulators and various hangers-on will be able to repeal the laws of supply and demand? I know they’ve been trying for years but somehow human beings keep proving them wrong.
