Why is it that the first suggestions out of the mouths of the legislators is to talk about how long its been since this or that tax has been raised? I wonder if these same legislators ask the same question about the spending side of things. How long has this or that particular program been spending money? Is the money that’s been spent, spent wisely? Is the program even necessary anymore? Perhaps asking the latter questions first just might solve their ‘problems’.
